Anna Lee | Washington Community High School Class of 2020

September 6, 2019

Meet Anna Lee.. who happens to be one of THE sweetest, kindest, most fun-loving senior I have ever photographed!   She is shy at first, but one you get to know her, she is one goofy, funny girl!!  She is the last of the Lee family that I get to photograph for senior pictures and I’m having a mini temper tantrum because I don’t want it to end!  Did we save the best for last Anna? hee hee 😉

After high school, Anna plans on attending Bradley University to pursue nursing. When she was a little girl, she aspired to be a Rockstar!  This year, she is most looking forward to homecoming week because she loves getting dressed up every day for the themes, watching the homecoming parade and football game that Friday, and then going to the homecoming dance on Saturday night!  She also loves cheering for the team in the student section.  Her favorite high school teacher is Mrs. Kilgus because “she’s funny and easy to talk to!”  Fashions class has been her favorite because it “was stress-free and allowed me to be creative”.  Anna is super active in school and plays soccer.  “Something I am proud of is being named one of the captains of the soccer team because it showed my hard worked paid off!”

She is also on the Washington Leadership Community Service Club, National Honor Society, Freshmen-Senior Executive Board, Pep club, and Student Council!  Advice to incoming freshman: “Don’t waste your time and energy on drama because in the end, it really doesn’t matter and just focus on having fun because high school will be the fastest four years of your life!”  In the summertime, she lifeguards at the Washington Park Pool and she also loves to babysit.  During her free time, she loves to hangout with her friends and one of their favorite things to do together is get coffee. “As long as I’m with my friends, I’m having fun because we are always doing something!”

Three things on Anna’s bucket list include 1. Sky-diving, Scuba Diving, and going on a Mission trip

Here are some of Anna’s fun facts and favorites:

FOOD and FAMILY

  1. The best thing about my mom is her goofy personality and how we can always make each other laugh. I also love how I can talk to her about anything and she’ll listen to all my pointless rants. The best thing about my dad is how kind he is to anyone and everyone. I also love that we never run out of things to talk about and conversation is never boring.
  2. My hero’s are my parents because everything I am and have I owe to them.
  3. My favorite family trip was to Redondo beach California because I loved the location of the house and the house its self was beautiful and we made a lot of good memories there.
  4. I’ve never had a taco.  (WHAT?!). Someone.. buy this girl a taco!!
  5. If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? Buttered noodles
  6. What’s your favorite family recipe? My mom’s puppy chow recipe!
  7. One of my favorite childhood memories is going to Disney world with my family and aunt for my golden birthday when I was five.

RANDOM:

  1. My friends call me Annie and my family calls me Anna B
  2. Halloween is my favorite holiday.
  3. My favorite holiday tradition is going to my grandparents house on Christmas Eve and having dinner and opening presents with my dads side of the family.
  4. The most daring thing I have ever done is zip lining down Fremont St. in Las Vegas
  5. If I could travel anywhere in the world, I would travel to Haiti because ever since I was little I have wanted to go on a mission trio there.
  6. Bands/Singers – Old Dominion, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, and Khalid
  7. My favorite sport to watch is basketball because it’s very fast past and I have played basketball since I was little so I understand how the game works. My favorite sport to play is soccer because I’m very aggressive and it’s a contact sport.
  8. Why did you choose Shelby Photography for your senior portraits photographer? Cindy has photographed all four of my older siblings and I have loved all of their senior pictures. Cindy also photographed my whole family for our family pictures last fall.  Her photos are very natural, they don’t look awkward or like someone that they aren’t.
