Madelyn | Washington Community High School Class of 2020 senior pictures

October 9, 2019

Country girls are like other girls, but they know how to shoot a gun, ride four-wheelers, own a big ole truck named Harold, and look just as good in a dress as they do came. Yep, that’s Madelyn!!  Her mom calls her “Tootie”

Madelyn would describe her personality as kind and funny, “but I can be moody and cranky at sometimes too.”  After high school, she plans on attending college to become a nurse! When she was a little girl, she wanted to be a lawyer. Her favorite teacher throughout the years was her 5th grade teacher and her favorite class is math.   Madelyn’s favorite high school event is Community Night because, “we always have a big bonfire after the show.”   This is Madelyn’s advice to incoming freshman: “Don’t be loud and annoying, bring headphones, no making out in the hallway, and actually walk in the hallway. Don’t stop right in the middle and talk to someone. People will yell at you to move out of the way.”

She would describe her “perfect day” as spending time at the lake on a boat with her family.

Bucket list items are Swimming with sharks and dolphins

Here are some of Madelyn’s fun facts and favorites:

  1. The most unusual thing I have ever eaten is frog legs
  2. Jumping off cliffs is the most daring things I have ever done
  3. If I could travel anywhere, I would go to Hawaii
  4. Christmas is my favorite holiday
  5. My hero is my grandma who passed away. She was really strong throughout all of the chemo that she dad to go through
  6. My favorite family trip was to Arkansas because we got a boat and did so many water activities and relaxed
  7. A favorite childhood memory is when me and my dad were in our dining room, listening to music. My mom was doing dishes not to far away, listening to us sing and watching us dance
  8. Favorite family recipe: Grandpa’s potato salad
  9. If I could eat only one meal for the rest of my life, it would be Noodle and Company, Mac N Cheese
  10. The best thing about my mom is how she is always there for me. She tries her best to keep me on track and never lets me fail. She is a strong hearted person and for everything we go through, she always has a smile on her face. My dad is goofy. I love his personality and he is strong and kind-hearted. Her never lets much get to him when things get tough and that’s what I admire about him. He is strong and nothing will keep him down!
