Meet Braden Schrock, Class of 2021 senior from Henry-Senachwine High School! She is bubbly, fun, energetic, super sweet and as you can see…a total babe!! You are loved Braden and we will miss you sooo much!
This fall, Braden will be attending Carroll University and plans on majoring on Elementary Education. Her favorite high school teacher is Miss Crook. “She is my calculus teacher, but she is also my dance teacher! I love how she makes all of us feel like a family and is always there for me to talk to. My favorite subject is probably math! The other kids in my class make doing math way more fun!” Braden’s favorite events have always been sporting events. “Whether I was playing or just watching, being surrounded by friends and feeling the energy of the crowd makes me really feel like i’m in high school!”
Braden has been very active in school. “I am Cheer Captain, Dance Team Co-Captain, and I play volleyball. I am in the Future Business Leaders of America, Family Career and Community Leaders of America, Math Team, a 2021 girls state recipient, Lady Mallard Athletic Club, and I am Senior Class President.”
Outside of school, Braden has been a competitive dance and in the summer, she lifeguards. Her favorite all time thing to do is dance!
Braden would describe her “perfect day” as waking up early (but not too early), drinking coffee and doing yoga on the beach. “Then I’d have a picnic with my friends and get all dressed up for a photo shoot! Of course, I’d end the day with ice cream!! (no day is complete without ice cream!)”
Three things on my bucket list: Go skydiving, graduate college, and have a big fancy wedding!
“My hero is my mom. she is the strongest woman I’ve ever known and she made me into the resilient woman that I am today. The best thing about my parents is how they always encourage me to be exactly who I am. Even though we don’t always agree, they have always supported me and every decision I make.”
“My parents call my Bubby Lue… embarrassing i know but i have grown to love it.”
Something that I’m most proud of: “This wasn’t something I did alone, but my school raised around $3,000 for one of the seniors. Her name is Cassie and she was recently diagnosed with leukemia. Raising money for her and showing her our support was very rewarding in the sense that even though we couldn’t do much, we could at least show her how much we care.”
When I was a little girl, I wanted to be a princess!
“My favorite singers change all the time! Right now, my favorites are the Strokes, AJR, Wallows, The Frights, and Chloe Moriando.”
“My favorite family trip was to my grandparents beach house! I love casual vacations where I can just spend time with my family and relax. My favorite childhood memory is when my family built the house we live in now, I was around 5 and there was this giant pile of dirt from the construction that I absolutely loved to climb on! I was so devastated when they removed it but it was so fun while it lasted. My favorite family recipe is definitely my moms chicken and dumplings. It is such a comfort food for me and makes me think of cozy winter days with my family.”
“My favorite holiday is Christmas. Every Christmas my mom gets all of my family matching pajamas and we all wear them in the morning when we open presents! It’s something small but it always makes me feel so happy!:
