Meet Addi Lane, Class of 2021 senior from Tremont High School! When I first met Addi about one year ago, I thought she was quiet and shy. The very next time I met her, I realized that she was one of the funniest seniors I have ever met with the most lovable personality and her Class of fellow Shelby Seniors would agree… that she is that one individual that makes them smile just thinking about her! She is brilliant, goal motivated, inspiring, strong, and absolutely beautiful. I looooooove photographing Addie!
After graduation, Addie has plans to attend Indiana State University to major in Aviation. How cool is that!! We went to the Illinois Air Guard Facility where her Uncle works to capture her love for aviation. It was sooooo FUN to capture this girl and her passion for flying.
Addi’s favorite overall high school subject is definitely math, and “it makes sense to me, unlike chemistry!” Her favorite school event is Games day. Games day is Friday night before homecoming that it’s “class against class.” Addi says it’s full of competitiveness and a fun way to meet the freshmen that get destroyed by the seniors.
She has been super active in school and participates in Volleyball, basketball, softball, and Hoco week setup. Outside of school, she participates in travel softball, babysits in the summer, Turkey Fest set up and food line, and sometimes go to Taps to comfort dogs. Her hobbies include playing sports, painting in her free time, learning the piano, watching movies, and hanging out with friends.
Addi would describe her “perfect day” like this: “Being up at the lake in Wisconsin for 4th of July. Starting the morning with waffles and fruit made by my Nani. Cruising on the pontoon with the family, then going to my Uncle Dan’s house (which is on the same lake) and skiing and tubing with my cousins. Then when the sun starting going down we build a fire and get the boats ready with snacks and drinks to go watch the fireworks. You look at the fire and the lake is right there behind it. Then it’s pretty dark out and we all finally get on the lake and go watch the fireworks. After the show we go back and do all the fun yard things you do on the 4th like sparklers and more s’mores and such. Then the parents normally kick the kids inside and we watch a movie. Normally it’s very late at this point of the day and all 10+ kids sleep out in the basement. Then do it all over again the next day.”
Three things on my bucket list: Get my pilot’s license, Travel to more than 10 different countries, visit every MLB baseball park!
Something I am really proud of is being very independent. My mom travels alot for work and I am responsible enough for the real world and I’m reliable.
If I could travel anywhere in the world, I would go to Italy or Ireland or the United Kingdom because I am of the deceits and would like to see if I can find and meet long distance family. United Kingdom because I would really really like to see the Royal Family. I’m obsessed with them.
I eat chicken anywhere I go. I have seen lots of movies for being a 17 year old. I really bad knee problems.
The most daring thing I have ever done jumped off a cliff into water
I can listen pretty much anything from 60s music to today’s rap and country. I have way too many favorites to name off. I do love my country music the best but I can rap a Post Malone song. I love watching any type of sports. Literally any. I love playing softball but I like playing all three sports I play because each sport helps with another.
