Washington Community High School Senior Photographer

Meet the lovely, Class of 2018 senior from Washington Community High School, Sammy Braun!  We literally had 30 mph winds with cloudy skies on the day of her session… and it was cold! But this beautiful girl didn’t complain one bit; she brought the sunshine to the camera with her smile and funny sense of humor.   I loved, loved her personality and I’m obsessed with her fiery red hair.. wow!  Check out some of her funny answers.. you’ll see what I mean about her personality.  Love her!

Sammy would describe her personality as quiet, laid back, and kind of like Bruce Banner.. cautious.  In school, she participates in Musical and Play Tech, Marching Band, Concert Band, Yearbook, and Lacrosse.  After high school, she plans on attending Bradley to major in Biomedical Engineering. When she was a little girl, she wanted to be a veterinarian but then she realized she didn’t like blood!  Advice to incoming freshman – “use common sense”

If she could have any superpower, it would be the power to “fill things.. like a cup so you wouldn’t have to get up or the bladder of someone you don’t like”.   Sammy would describe her perfect day as “Sleeping.All.Day” :). One of her proudest moments would have to be receiving emails from college Lacrosse scouts saying they have seen her play and they are impressed!  If she could eat only one meal for the rest of her life it would be Mac n Cheese. Something random about herself: “I like space, I’m a champion-level slug bug player, I like to try new things, and my favorite color is orange.  If she was stranded on a deserted island with only one other person, she would choose the Staypuft Marshmallow Man. Nicknames: Sam, Sammy Sue, Sammy Bear, and Sammy. The most unusual things she has ever eaten – Okra.  Sammy is motivated by achieving her goals. Family’s unspoken motto – Good Luck, Don’t Suck!

Three things on her bucket list would be 1. Skydiving 2. Travel to Ireland 3. Travel to Australia

Her hero is her mom because “she encourages me to do things I’m afraid of, and that’s it’s okay that I don’t have my life figured out. yet. She’s the strongest person I know.  My parent are the most supportive and loving parents a girl could ask for”

5. Holiday Tradition – Watching Miracle on 34th Street on Christmas Eve
6. Childhood Memory – Being Santa for Halloween when she was four years old
7. Family recipe – Peanut Butter Blossoms
