Kennedy Bailey | Class of 2021 | Knoxville High School

March 3, 2021

You had me at “hello”.  I knew as soon as I met this eclectic, unique, talented, gorgeous girl, that we would have the best time this year!  She blows me away with her fun personality traits and unique, amazing style EVERY time.  We just love her!

Meet Kennedy Bailey, Class of 2021 senior from Knoxville High School.  After graduation, Kennedy plans on attending Brigham Young University .  When she was a little girl, she wanted to be a florist!  She is very active in school and participates in the Drama Club, Art Club, Key Club, National Honor Society, and Choir. Outside of school, she attends Youth Group, instructs piano, and works at Duckies.  Her hobbies include painting, playing piano, singing, dancing, drawing, reading, and she loves makeup!

Her favorite school events are the dances. “I love to dance, even though I’m not great at it. The dances give me the opportunity to glam up, feel confident, and let loose on the dance floor.”  Kennedy’s favorite teacher is Mrs. Schaefer, “because she’s super funny and sweet. She’s also an all around great person and teacher. Its easy to tell that she loves what she’s doing and she makes learning fun. My favorite class is choir because I love to sing and be around my friends. It’s super fun to bust out Toto’s Africa and dance in my chair.”

Advice to incoming freshman: “Be yourself and don’t let fear get in the way of you trying new things. Highschool is a great time to figure out new things about yourself, and its easy to regret the things you didn’t do later on.”

“My perfect day would be waking to a breakfast of avocado toast and getting dress into something cute and doing something fun with my makeup. Then going outside roller blading. After that I would probably hangout with my best friend and paint while we watched a movie. Then I would shower, read a book, and go to bed.”

A moment that I’m super proud of its the time my friends and I helped organize a special Olympics event. It was a great experience and well worth the hours we put into it. I got the chance to sing the national anthem and helo keep track of scores. It was super sweet to see the look on their faces when they received their medals. So overall very proud of that.”

Food and Family:

  1. My hero is my mom because she’s my best friend. She’s always there for me and she’s amazing in her own way. I love her to death even though she’s crazy sometimes…its probably where I get it from anyway. She’s my rock ans I dont know what I would do without her.
  2. My favorite family trip was to Glacier National Park because we got to see some beautiful scenery and jam out in the car.
  3. My favorite childhood memory is when my cousin and I dumped shampoo and conditioner all over the bathroom floor, so that we could skate like the Carebears did on clouds. We got in big trouble but it was worth it!”
  4. Gram’s Bananda Bread is my favorite family recipe. It was my great grandma’s recipe and my mom has made it forever.
  5. If I could eat only one meal for the rest of my life it would be Alfredo for sure!
  6. My Dad is really good at listening and he’s always there to give me a hug when I need it. He never fails to make me feel even a little bit better when I’m upset. My mom is my buddy. She’s always ready to watch a movie with me or go on a walk. I love spending time with her and telling her all about life events.
  7. My favorite holiday is Christmas and I love that almost every year for Christmas, my siblings and I open presents on Christmas Eve and it’s always new pajamas to wear to bed for Christmas the next day
  8. I also love carving pumpkins with my family because we usually go all out and do some fancy ones!

Three things on my bucket list include 1. Riding a horse 2. Singing on a street corner in some big city 3. Traveling the world
