Jenna French | Eastland High School Class of 2019 Senior Pictures

August 25, 2018

Meet Jenna French, Class of 2019 senior from Eastland High School!  Jenna was sooooo fun to photograph, obviously gorgeous but a bubbly, outgoing, fun, sweet girl!

I love being around happy and positive people that make me laugh. Although I love spending time with many people, I love to be in touch with nature. Spending time planting flowers or hanging out with a few of my close friends at a park is where I am most content. Keeping in touch with Earth is always something I enjoy. I am also a very curious character, I want to see and do everything. I want to travel the world. I love making new memories and experiencing new things!”

After graduation, Jenna plans on majoring in (possibly) Business and attending University of Wisconsin in Madison.  Jenna is a very talented golfer and this year, she is look gin forward to State Golf. “. I think we have a great team this year and have the potential to make it far enough to get to state. If we don’t make it that far, then just the golf season in general is something I am looking forward to!”  Her favorite class is art because she is able to express herself through painting and drawing. “art gives me such a good feeling and I love being able to see a final product of something that I  made on my own, it’s  so cool. Art is something I love to do, in and outside of school.”  One event she is most looking forward to this year is helping with the plant sale that her school puts on every year.  “On top of it, being able to spend your time in the warm, good-smelling greenhouse is a total bonus!”  Besides golf, Jenna participates in Student Council, Servant Leadership, Yearbook, Cinema Club, FFA, and FCCLA.  A moment she is most proud of is getting onto Servant Leadership after not being accepted but then being able to prove that she is capable of doing it and getting on!    Advice to incoming freshman: My advice would be to be kind to everyone, especially to yourself. People can be rude, but you often get what you give, so I believe that putting kindness out in the world can also help you receive kindness. Don’t be so hard on yourself, because it doesn’t solve any problems that you might have. Just smile and realize that this is a small chapter of your life and you are capable of doing fantastic things!

Three things on her bucket list: Go to a flower field, Own my own business 3. Travel the World

“My hero is my cousin, Denise. She has been through so much, but she still manages to be one of the most kind-hearted people I know. She is someone I can rely on and turn to for everything and she has helped me through anything I may need help with.”

“The best thing about my Dad is his drive for being the best he can be, and wanting the same thing for me. Him and my mom have a drive that I admire. They are very hard workers and they make sure that my brother and I have what we need to pursue our dreams and aspirations.”

Here are some of Jenna’s fun facts and favorites!

  1. My favorite family trip was to the Bahamas because we did many activities and were able to spend time together as a family. We went to see the pig and iguana beach, and were able to swim with nurse sharks, which was so cool!
  2. My favorite childhood memory is when my family decided to take a small school bus to six flags in Gurnee, IL. We had my cousins, my uncles, my best friend (Chloe Anderson(: ), my brother’s friend, mom, and dad. It was so much fun and I will always remember how much we laughed and enjoyed each other’s company. The best part was literally the bus ride because it was a bus full of only my favorite people who make me laugh constantly.
  3. My favorite family recipe is my mom’s scalloped corn. It is to die for. It’s my favorite, because it is in the middle of being sweet and not-so-sweet.
  4. I spend free time doing things with art and fashion!
  5. My favorite holiday tradition is going to my grandmas every year for Christmas Eve. We go there around noon and spend time with her in her beautiful home and talk about past stories or upcoming events. After we eat dinner, we open presents and we hang out and enjoy each other’s company.

  7. Favorite singer and/or band or songs? Ed Sheehan, Khalid, LANY, Super Far by Lany, Younglbood by 5 Seconds of Summer, OTW by Khalid, 1959 by King Princess
  8. If you could travel any where in the world where would you want to go? I would go to Palawan Island in the Philippines, because I love how untouched most of it is. It is naturally gorgeous. The colors are beautiful.
  9. Describe in detail what your perfect day would be: A perfect day would be waking up and going to my nearest coffee shop to go get some coffee and then meeting up with my favorite people for breakfast so we can chat and laugh. Something me and my friends like to do is go and have our own little photoshoots (it sounds silly, I know), it is so much fun to capture little amazing moments of each other. We often will go places and just take pictures along the way. We will go shopping or go on a hike and it is so much fun. Ending the day with my puppy, Luna would put be the best.
  10. Why did you choose Shelby Photography for your senior  photographer? I chose Shelby Photography for my senior photographer because I saw the pictures she had taken in the past and I totally fell in love! I thought she made the girls look flawless, while bringing out their own unique style and character.
