Jacie | Metamora Township High School | Class of 2018 senior pictures

November 1, 2017

Meet Jacie, Class of 2018 senior from Metamora Township High School!!  She is my favorite introverted, extrovert in the whole world!!  A beautiful soul inside and out.  I love and adore her!

Jacie would describe her personality as someone who stands back and takes everything in.  Once she is comfortable in an environment, she is silly and fun!   After high school, she plans on going to college to major in counseling.  She loves drawing, tennis, dancing, hiking, reading, journaling, and spending time with family.  Advice to incoming freshman:  “High school can have some stressful moments; will definitely test you and your strength at times,  but the journey flies by. I recommend you soak it all in and enjoy all that life gives you during that time.”

A moment she is most proud of it when she and her grandmother raised money for TAPS to help provide food for animals.

Jacie would describe her perfect day as a road trip with her mom on a beautiful day with perfect weather.. with the sun roof open and windows down, radio turned up and singing out loud.   They would adventure together… try new things, see new places, and meet new people!

One of her most treasured possessions is a star necklace her mom gave her because ever since she was old enough to remember, they have always said, “I love you more than all the stars.  She is the most influential person in her life because she has been an unbelievably strong and caring woman.  She has provided in every way for me and I can’t thank her enough.  We have an unbreakable bond.  I am BEYOND blessed that she is my mom!  My dad is super knowledgeable and he is always teaching me new things and helping me out!

Three things on her bucket list 1. Attend a lantern fest where people join together to dance, listen to music, and light up the sky by releasing lanterns.  2. Put a lock on the Bridge of Love in Paris with the love of my life 3. Go zip lining!

Biggest pet peeves: loud chewers, people who ask what I am wearing to every event, when the toilet paper is not put on the correct way, when people get in my bubble, and eating curled chips. Lastly, I strongly dislike chips that are not flat!

Something interesting about Jacie that most people don’t know: “I have Hashimoto’s and Raynaud’s disease which causes me to feel extremely fatigued and poor often. Many people do not understand that when I explain why I choose to stay home more times than not because most teenagers are extremely high energy.”

“If I could have one wish granted that would be that everyone got along. No one said anything negative or tore anyone down. Everyone would show loyalty and back their friends and family. That is my wish!

Here are some of Jacie’s fun favorites!

  1. Holiday – Halloween
  2. Singers/bands – I enjoy Kid Cudi, Mac Miller, John Mayer, Wiz Khalifa, G-Eazy, Hoodie Allen, The Fray, Thomas Rhett, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Cage The Elephant, Arctic Monkeys, and many more
  3. Book and Movie: The Perks of Being a Wallflower
  4. TV show – The Office and Grey’s Anatomy, One Tree Hill and Vanderpump Rules
  5. Childhood memory – “when my mom took me to a movie, rollerskating, lunch, dinner, and shopping all in one jam packed day… I’ll never forget that!”
  6. Sport – Dancing.  “I have danced since the age of two and around the age of five I began dancing for a competitive travel team. However, within the last year or so I decided to take a break. Currently, I have given tennis a shot and grown to become pretty fond of the sport.
  7. Holiday tradition – “My favorite holiday tradition is gathering with my dad’s side of the family to decorate Christmas cookies every year around Christmas”
  8. Meal – anything pasta!
  9. Family recipe – dad’s homemade eggrolls

Then years from now, I see myself being established in my career and living alone in my own cute little place, that will be extremely decorated!
