It’s this Dunlap Eagle Senior’s birthday so I thought it would be extra special to spotlight her ahhhh-maaaazing senior pictures today! Happy Birthday to the super sweet and gorgeous Class of 2020 senior, Camille Peters!
Camille would describe her personality as very friendly and she loves to meet new people! “I am super passionate and invest a lot of myself into everything I do!” After high school, she plans on attending college but not quite sure what she will major in yet… possibly something in marketing!
The event she has most looked forward to this year would be senior night at the their last home football game. “All the senior football players, dancers, cheerleaders and band members are recognized for all the hard work we have put into our teams and school! It will also be my last time dancing on the turf with my team which has been one of the highlights of my high school career. I love going to football games whether it be a home game where I get to put on a uniform and pump up the crowd, or an away game when I join my fellow classmates cheering on the Eagles! The atmosphere is contagious! I love school spirt and there’s no better place to show your pride than at a game!”
Camille’s favorite teacher would have to be Ms. Shambaugh. “She was my British Literature teacher my junior year and her passion for teaching was so evident and she really pushed us to dig deeper into the text we were reading. I love to find deeper meanings and the creativity it gives students to expand our thinking!”
Camille has bee a member of the Dance Team for the past four years and she has also been on a competitive dance team at Waterstreet Dance Company for 8 years. “It has been such a huge part of my life!” Besides dancing, she loves to watch movies and binge watch Netflix.
Camille would describe her perfect day like this: “I would wake up and first go get a caramel iced coffee from Dunkin. Then I would probably go hang out with my friends, maybe watch a movie, play with my dogs, and find some time to dance a bit in there!
Three things on her bucket list include: 1. Travel across Europe 2. Skydive 3. Get a chocolate Lab!
What advice would you give to incoming freshman? “Take everything in! High school goes by so fast so take advantage of all the things your school offers. Tryout for that sport you love to play, join a club you’re passionate about, meet new people! It will all make your high school experience that much greater.”
“One of my proudest moments was when my team won state my sophomore year. We put so much hard work into that season and it was our final time preforming that routine and it was the best it had ever looked. We all knew watching it back that we had just put everything out on the floor and it payed off!”

- One of my favorite childhood memories was from 3rd grade. Me and two of my other friends competed in our schools talent show. I remember practicing in my friends basement and her mom choreographing a routine for us to “Dancing Queen” by ABBA. The day of the show we wore layers of different princess costumes, colorful makeup (done ourselves…yikes) and tiaras and sang and danced our little hearts out! We ended up getting 2nd place but we had so much fun we didn’t care!

- The best thing about my parents is their selflessness. They give so much of their life up to support me and my sisters. Whether that be driving me to practices everyday when I was a kid, or coming to dance competitions all weekend they are always there cheering me on. Nobody has been more supportive to me and I have endless gratitude and love towards them.
