Meet the vibrant, bubbly, sweet, silly, and beautiful, Class of 2022 senior from Dunlap High School, Colleen Glatz!!  “I am a very outgoing person once you get to know me. I am definitely a very funny and fun person to be around.  I love to make people laugh!”

Colleen’s plans after graduation includes majoring in Education and she is deciding between colleges.. either ISU or University of Kentucky!!

“My parents are the best people ever. I am in the middle of two boys. So I mean… someone has to be the high maintenance, funny, and picky kid! That is me. I love my parents so much. They will do anything for me and my brothers. They are my main supporters and will support with with anything and everything. My mom has always been like my best friend. She is always there if I need a shoulder to cry on but will also push me to be my best when I am at my lowest. My dad is one of the funniest people I have met. He never fails to make me laugh. He includes me with the “guy” stuff even if its fishing or going to baseball games. He has also taught me to not let anyone walk over me and to stand up for myself. I can say I am a little version of my dad. My parents have never failed to amaze me with everything they do and do for us.”

“My hero is probably my grandpa Pappy. He has always been my number one supporter and I do a lot of things for him. He has always been someone to push me to do my best and never give up. He never fails to go out of his way to make me or anyone around him laugh. He has so many huge accomplishments throughout his life and has gone through lots of things that have taught me to be strong push through, and to treat everyone with kindness.”

“My perfect day would probably include waking up and getting coffee for sure. If it is a school day go to school and then come home to get ready for a football game and then go cheer on the Eagles or go to dance and spend time with my friends and do what I do best.”

“I have three dogs. All different doodles. Berkely is a Labradoodle, Harley is a Golden Doodle, and Dublin is an Irishdoodle.”

“My favorite holiday is St. Patricks Day. My family is very Irish so we don’t take St. Patricks Day lightly at all. If it is on a school day we get to skip school and go down to our families restaurant Kellehers and eat then go do the parade! My favorite restaurant is Kellehers. I love their chicken fingers and fries!

If I could eat only one meal for the rest of my life, it would be a Chicken Quesadilla with Ranch , Side salad, and any fruit

When I was a little girl, I wanted to be an Oncologist

My favorite class is Medical Biology. I love learning about the body and just medical things in general. My favorite teacher is Mrs. Benefield. She has been my spanish teacher for two years. She goes out of her way to make sure that you are on the right track and doing your best in her class. She also is very caring towards her students. She is the type of teacher that you could go to with anything and she will always be there to help. Alongside with that, she engages with her students in class and is a phenomenal teacher.

Favorite school events: Football games for sure. I have two brothers that have played or play currently so I have always been interested in football. The games are so fun and performing at them is even better. Everyone gets so hyped up and its overall just a great time. I also like soccer and basketball games

In school, I am very active in Cheer and outside of school, I dance competitively at Miss Laura’s School of Dance. I spend most of my time there!

My favorite color is Sage Green

The most unusual thing I have ever eaten is alligator

The most daring thing I have done is ski

Three things on my bucket list are: Travel to Ireland, Travel to Greece, and Be successful!

“My favorite childhood memories are probably all of the dance competitions I have gone to. I didn’t really think that I would ever fall in love with dance as much as I have. And I love looking back and seeing how much I have improved and really love the sport. I am most proud of overcoming my hip surgeries my freshman year. I was so close to quitting everything and giving up because I thought my life was pretty much over and I would never be able to dance again. I pushed myself through the year recovery and I don’t think I have ever been stronger. I am so proud that I was able to get into a great headspace and have people around me that supported me and helped me through the year.”

“I love all music. My top artists right now are Polo G, Jon Pardi, Sam Hunt, Florida Georgia Line, Rod Wave, Dababy and Lil Baby.
