Kristina and Jacob first met in August of 2014 at Bradley University in Peoria where they were both attending college. Everyone was getting ready for school to start up and students were moving in..  It was a very warm August, so naturally there were a number of “day” parties happening around campus.  Kristina and her girlfriends lat minuted decided to go to this one party in particular and she said “as soon as I took one step onto the porch, I spotted this insanely cute guy and I swear I started drooling a little bit!  I was caught off guard!”  She did her best to initiate conversation ad even started a game of beer pong (which she won by the way!)  After that, they hung out and she took note that Jacob was always a gentleman. He made sure she and her friends were having a good time and went completely out of his way to be nice.  Kristina and Jacob eventually started talking about food which they both love! She explained that her perfect first date scenario would be to get chicken wings, because then if a person sees you eating chicken wings and still wants to see you again, the they are totally in to you! The next day, they all went for chick wings and he STILL wanted to hang out with her. 😊  “From then on, I can’t tell you how many fun memories we have shared together. He started out as a friend, and quickly became my best friend.”

Fast forward to July 2017, Kristina and her family love taking trips to South Haven, Michigan. It’s by far her favorite place to be and they consider it to be their home away from home.  Jacob came along and asked her if she wanted to have a “date night” and of course she said yes!  He surprised her and said they were going to go for dinner but wouldn’t say where.  As they started walking to dinner, Jacob was leading her a completely different way and said he wanted to look at the water first.  They can to a place overlooking Lake Michigan where he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. “I think I kind of blacked out when he kneeled down so I can’t remember everything that he said.. I just couldn’t believe it!  Seeing the man of your dreams get down on one knee is amazing. it was the fastest “yes” I have ever said and I said it so many times that I lost count!  If that wasn’t perfect enough, he had a photographer come capture the whole thing!  I am incredibly lucky!

Jacob and Kristina are tying the knot on June 2nd, 2018 and at Holy Family Catholic Church with an amazing party planned at the Par-A-Dice Hotel Casino after.

I’m pretty sure that I am the luckiest photographer EVER to capture their special day!  I can’t wait!
