The Fourth of July is one of my favorite summer holidays and every year we do a themed session surrounding the Red, White, and Blue! My son just bought a beautiful new home with a yard/pond/pool that happens to be a photographer’s dream! I’m fairly certain that they had only lived there a week or maybe two when I asked to have a “little” Fourth of July themed session. He generously offered the property for my use anytime, and then proceeded to tell me, “you don’t waste any time, do you!?” Hee! Hee! No, no I don’t!! (Thank you Pete and Jen, I love you so much!)
Have you ever been fishing for an hour or two without any luck at all or maybe just a nibble or two? That has been my experience with fishing and it’s not usually something I look forward too, because it’s boring! But not this pond! The girls were catching fish left and right as soon as the worm hit the water and hearing their squeals of happiness was the best! A few even put the worms on the hook and took the fish off after catching them too. I was so proud of them!
Everyone brought a side dish. .we ate yummy food, went swimming in the pool, fished, and had a total blast celebrating the 4th of July with sparklers and even some Red, White, and Blue smoke grenades! This will definitely go down in history as a favorite Fourth of July inspired senior session!
