Introducing the Class of 2020 Shelby Senior Model Team!!

April 18, 2019

WHO WANTS TO MEET SOME AMAZING YOUNG WOMEN!?

The Class of 2020 consists of 31 strong, talented, intelligent, funny, quirky, silly, goofy, introverted & extroverted, thoughtful, sweet, kind, and beautiful seniors from 11 different school around Central IL.  I can already tell you that this next school year is going to be absolutely wonderful. And they all have this in common:  They want to make new friends, build their self-confidence, grow as individuals, have new experiences, and make the very most of their last year of high school!  This group has already bonded on a deeper level and I CAN’T WAIT for what this next year has to offer.

This session was the very first themed shoot of many that they get to participate in during their senior year.  Sooooo FUN!   They all looked gorgeous rocking their Shelby Senior t-shirts, hats, jackets, and cute accessories!   The goal of this session was to increase their comfort in front of the camera, get to know each other, and allow me to capture their photograph so that I can introduce my new tribe.

I am honored and happy to introduce the Class of 2020 Shelby Senior Model Team!!

LAUREN – STARK COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL

“I LOVE making new friends and love taking pictures. I feel that being a Shelby Senior would really make my senior year one to remember!  I am looking forward to the opportunity to branch out and get to know other girls and just have fun!! I am planning on going to college and would like to be a pharmacist. I am hardworking, love to be adventurous and spontaneous! I just really enjoy being with people.”

HAILEY NANCE – DEE-MACK HIGH SCHOOL

“What sets Shelby Photography apart from other photographers is that they’ve worked with lots of people that I know. The pictures are always amazing and unique. I haven’t seen a single picture that I dislike.  I want to be able to be more confident in front of a camera and just have fun laughing and meeting new people.  This is going to be so cool!”

STEPHANIE FARDEN – WASHINGTON COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL

“I love photography… taking the pictures and also being in them. I think that this will impact my senior year because it will give me opportunities to make build new friendships and grow current ones. I think that the attention and care that is put into every picture really sets Shelby Photography apart. It’s not just a matter of showing off how great of a photographer you are, but actually showing that you care about the people you’re working with.”

CHLOE HARTWIG – HENRY-SENACHWINE HIGH SCHOOL

“I’ve been following Shelby Photography on Instagram for the last several years after one of the girls I danced with had senior pictures taken by Cindy and I have absolutely fallen in love with all of her pictures!  I am my class President, secretary of FBLA, Captain of the dance team, basketball cheerleader, Math Team, Team Caption of Team HSHS Relay for Life Team, Chorus, Central Illinois Teen Council for the Ronald McDonald’s House and I am a dance teacher one night a week at my local dance studio. I hope to have my doctorates in Physical Therapy and dream to be on a college dance or cheer team. I also dream to travel and live life to its fullest.”

CAMILLE PETERS – DUNLAP HIGH SCHOOL

“I am a pretty friendly person, I love meeting new people and pushing myself out of my comfort zone. I would also say I am very caring for others, I like to make sure everyone is having a good time and feels included. My goal is to leave a positive impact on everyone’s lives I meet! I think becoming a Shelby Senior will help make my senior year be filled with new memories, friends and a new found confidence within myself. The bonds that all the seniors make throughout the photoshoots and the pictures you produce are so evident that this program is truly something special and I would love to be a part of that!”

HOLLY PAYNE – RICHWOODS HIGH SCHOOL

Some things most people know about me is that I love to dance, sing along to songs in the car, go to concerts, and as odd as it seems – going to school!  But something people don’t know is how much I love to play Trivia, and it can be any type but my personal favorite is U.S history Trivia.  I am looking forward to meeting new people, having fun new experiences, be surrounded by people who love and support others and obviously to capture all the fun memories made throughout senior year! I think the time spent will make my senior year a fun time to reflect back on and will build my confidence and help me to be totally comfortable with who I am.”

ADDIE BEEBE – WASHINGTON COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL

“I think this will be a great opportunity to meet new people and try something new. I’m kind of shy so it would be a good/different experience to put myself out there and it would be a good challenge. I love animals. I also enjoy art and hanging out with my friends. I’m a big movie person and I love sitting down and watching movies and eating popcorn with my family.”

EMILY WOLTERS – PEKIN COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL

“I want to be a Shelby Senior because I think that doing this program will be a great opportunity to make new friends and learn more about who I am. I think that this  will positively impact my senior year because it will give me the chance to branch out, get me out of my comfort zone and be more in touch with my community during my last year of high school. My long term aspiration is to be apart of our country’s politics. My goal is to someday work on Capital Hill and make a change to better the country or the state.”

EMMA ROSS – DUNLAP HIGH SCHOOL

“The photos that I see from Shelby Photography always seem so full of life and energy! Each person looks like they are genuinely happy!”

ALLI HOEKSTRA – STREATOR TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL

“I’m quiet until I am comfortable around people, but then I love to laugh and just be myself. I enjoy helping people and making them smile. I think participating in the Shelby Senior Model program will help me get over some of my social anxiety and I can’t wait to make some fun, positive memories!”

BRIONA BECKHAM – PEKIN COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL

“I have been following Shelby Senior Photography on Instagram for about a year and a half now. I have also had many friends participate in the program, who have had great experiences. From senior pictures to wedding photos, all of Shelby Photography’s pictures are beyond amazing. They do a great job of capturing the moment and making it into an everlasting memory to treasure forever. After high school, I look forward to attending college to work towards my future career in the medical field. I absolutely love kids and hope to one day work in a children’s hospital. I enjoy helping others and being there for them when needed. I also dream of one day traveling the world to see new places and make new life experiences!”

NEONA MOONEY – WASHINGTON COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL

“I would like to be a Forensic Scientist with an emphasis in Anthropology, to work in a city along the east coast either for the FBI or the city police force. BREANNE GARDNER – METAMORA TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL

“I plan to go to ICC to earn my nursing license and after that become a travel nurse to experience the adventures life gives me. I want to save lives for a living and eventually settle down to have my own family. I am a very bubbly person who enjoys to smile and I am very go with the flow. I try to be optimistic and enjoy life as it comes. I love helping others and being there for people. I feel like this experience would impact my relationship with other girls my age and give me the opportunity to find friendships that could impact my senior year in a better way.”

NATALIE JOHNSON – PEKIN COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL

“I feel like I am a fun but calm person. I am ready to step up to any challenge that comes my way.  I participate in Swim Team, Cheerleading, and Soccer, Student Council, and Student Ambassadors. My senior year is a very special year to me that I feel it should be lived to the fullest, and Shelby seniors is the perfect way to do so!”

JENNA MARTIN – PEKIN COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL

“After high school, I plan to go to SIUE to become a pharmacist. Dancing has been a big part of my life and I would love to continue my dance career in college.  SIUE has a great program where you can get your PharmD and master’s degree in business in fewer years than it would normally take to earn both! My long term aspiration, however, is to be happy! No matter what phase of life I’m going through, I want to be true to myself and do what makes me happy because I’m the end that’s what is really important.”

DARBY – WASHINGTON COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL

“I volunteer as a Younglife leader, it is a youth ministry for high school students. I also have volunteered for Awana in years past which is a bible study for preschool-4th grade. In addition I have done a lot of volunteering in town through fitness club at the high school. I have a lot of goals for the future. I am participating in the CNA program next school year to recieve my license to be a certified nurses assistant. I plan on attending college to become a pediatric RN, this has been a dream of mine for a long time. I also want to eventually move to Georgia after college.  I love the mountains and think that it’s is beautiful there. I value family time and those relationships a lot.”

NATALIE GIBBS – PEKIN COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL

“A lot of my friends have gotten their senior pictures done through Shelby Seniors and the pictures always turn out AMAZING!  This will be a great opportunity for me to meet new friends from other schools and have a great time my senior year! I am involved in Cheer, play the violin, and I would love to be an Optometrist one day.”

RILEY JECKEL – DEE-MACK HIGH SCHOOL

“My personality while at times can be a little feisty, I’m super outgoing and love to laugh. I think the majority of times you can find me giggling at something. I want to be a Shelby senior because I enjoy new opportunities and I think this will be a great experience. Being a part of this program will make my senior year incredibly different than without it. It will add more chances at making new friends while documenting my high school life!”

FAITH ADAMS – METAMORA TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL

“I’m very energetic and love spending time with friends. I also love to spend time with my family, especially my nieces and nephews. My friends tell me I have a good sense of humor, and i’m constantly making people laugh. I’ve been told I have a very bright smile and a contagious laugh. I’ve been in honors spanish since my freshman year of high school. I love speaking Spanish, and the culture is very interesting to me. I just got back from Spain and it was an amazing experience!  I plan on minoring in Spanish in college. I just think being a Shelby Senior  looks like a lot of fun, and it will be great way to make new friends!”

ALLI HIGGINS – WASHINGTON COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL

“I volunteer with the Ronald McDonald House Charities as a member of their Teen Board. I also volunteer as a member of the Tazewell County Youth Board. I’ve been told that when you first meet me I come off quiet and a little shy, but as I get more comfortable I tell lots of funny stories and rarely stop laughing. I enjoy reading and put a lot of effort into my grades, so I’m very studious. I’m empathetic and I am very good at putting myself in someone else’s situation.  I love pictures that freeze a moment of happiness in time forever!”

MADELYN FRAME – WASHINGTON COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL

“I can be quiet when I’m around people I don’t know well. I’m quirky and funny. I can definitely be stubborn and set in my ways. I love hunting, boating, 4-wheeling, and dogs! I would like to be a Shelby a senior to showcase my personality and boost my self-esteem.”

ASHLEY GIBBS – MORTON HIGH SCHOOL

“My long term plans for my life include finishing nursing school and working in the children’s emergency department at OSF in Peoria. I would absolutely love to move closer to the mountains and find work there. In the future, I see myself starting a family and  having lots of puppies! A personal dream of mine is to also live in Colorado someday! The first thing that really set Shelby Photography apart for me were the photos from a swim shoot. I had never seen the sport I love be captured like that and it absolutely blew me away. I feel like the pictures capture something that you can’t see but feel, you can sense that they are having a great time and are happy and joyful during the sessions and I would absolutely love to be apart of that!”

SKYLAR GAREY – METAMORA TOWNSHIP HIGH SCHOOL

“Themed photo shoots seems so much fun and I love taking pictures! I feel that my time will impact my senior year because I will get to share photos and look back on them when older and remember the good times. It will create great memories. In the future, I aspire to become an elementary school teacher because I love kids. My dream is to run track in college; however, if that doesn’t happen that’s okay 🙂 I plan on going to a 4 year school or ICC to continue my education. I would like to stay close to home for college because family is important to me and I don’t want to be too far away from them.”

“I am a very humorous person. I love making news friends and joking around. I am serious when needed but I like to have fun, especially in cheer. I am also very dedicated and finish what I start.  Sometimes, I am a little insecure but I am hoping these photos change my mind. I also love being around people with a good sense of humor. I am looking forward to making new friends that are in my age group and so I can keep these memories of my senior year forever!”

BRINLEY BECK – EUREKA HIGH SCHOOL

” I have lived in 3 different states and Canada. I love traveling and meeting new people from all over. I also have two super cute dogs, a Siberian Husky and a Maltese Shih Tzu. I work hard in school and would love to be accepted onto the Shelby Senior program. I am a little shy at first, but once I get to know people I am outgoing and love to talk with everyone. I have moved a lot in my childhood, so I know the importance of including others and making sure everyone feels welcomed. I love dressing up with friends and going out places to eat or hangout. I like to think I am pretty funny sometimes, or at least I am to myself. Trying new things is also something I enjoy so I am looking forward to being a part of  the Shelby Senior Model Program!”

MARLEY THOMPSON – DEE-MACK HIGH SCHOOL

“My personality to me is very bubbly and charismatic. Which makes sense because my middle name is charisma. I can be shy at times, but I’m usually very outgoing and love to be adventurous. I also try to be the best person I can be by keeping a moral compass throughout my life. I’m not positive where I want to go to college, but i am thinking probably in Chicago or a big city. Long term I want to be a criminal defense lawyer and live in New York. I hope to make a wealthy living so that when I retire I am able to move to the country and have a farm where I am able to rescue and raise all the animals I want.”

KAITLYNN – DUNLAP HIGH SCHOOL

“I want to try something different for my last year of high school. I think this would help me get outside of my box and give me something fun to look forward to and do. I am involved in St.Jude club. I run on my high school track team and swim on the high school swim team. I also swim year around on a club team called Paww.”

ALLYSON ROHDE – PEKIN COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL

“I feel like being a Shelby Senior will  help build confidence in myself. It would give me the chance to prove to myself that I can do anything I put my mind to. The pictures are fantastic, Shelby Photography captures the essence of people and it’s not just posing but real life shots. I want to be a special education teacher. I have been on an IEP since I was 2 years old. I have working memory disorder so I have been in special education classes my entire life. I want to be the role model and help to other children that my teachers have been to me. I spend a lot of time with my “Best Buddies”. This is a group to help special needs children that have intellectual disability developments. We pair up with one student and spend time with them for the year. We have a shortage of kids who really want to volunteer so i have 2 kids this year, Hannah and Lucas. I just love them. I spend more time with Hannah because she is a girl. We attend church, have sleepovers and spend a lot of time together. I got involved with the church because her family invited me. It is safe to say that she is as good for me as I am for her.”

OLIVIA SMITH – WASHINGTON COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL

“I follow Shelby Photography on Instagram and I have been blown away by the gorgeous photo shoots.  I knew immediately that I wanted to be a Shelby Senior! I’ve always thought it would be a great experience of meeting new people and stepping out of my comfort zone. I am a believer that life should be explored and it’s hard to do that when you’re ‘comfortable’. I constantly set new goals for myself… like trying new, weird  recipes, wearing bold outfits, or getting to know new people . I feel that Shelby Seniors would definitely push me to meet to friends and learn to embrace the inner beauty of not only myself, but the people around me.”

JILLIAN MCKENZIE – WASHINGTON COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL

I have struggled with figuring out who really am and I think this will really help me find out exactly who that person is!  I struggle with body image and the way I physically look and I think this would help me.  If I were to describe myself I would say  I’m quite perky when I’m around people I’m comfortable with.  I enjoy making people laugh especially when they are having a bad day. I work at Texas Roadhouse and I’m a part of the Pantherettes dance team. I also do competitive dance at a studio in Peoria Heights at Miss Laura’s school of dance and I am part of the elite team.”
