Meet Class of 2019 senior. Anna Bour from Washington Community High School! She is the ultimate fashionista mixed with a whole lot of sweetness, blue eyes, and a crazy beautiful smile!
Anna would describe herself as shy at first but once you get to know her, “I’m super crazy! (In a good way of course!). She loves to have fun and whenever someone see her, she is saying something funny or laughing at something random. She plans on attending ISU after graduation to major in Fashion Design & Merchandising. But when she was a little girl, she wanted to be a vet! One of her proudest moments is ” when I was high jumping in 7/8th grade at Morton High School for sectionals. Having the anxiety of being able whether or not to clear the bar for state requirements. Then shortly after, clearing! It was the most memorable moment of my life. I will never forget it. I was so proud of myself.”
This year she is mostly looking forward to being accepted into ISU. Anna loves the campus and it’s far enough away from home but still close enough to make a little weekend trip to visit family and friends. Her favorite HS teacher was during her junior year… her English teacher, Mrs. Leischeidt. “She is the sweetest thing. I never used to enjoy English class as much as others, but this year she really brought the enjoy into it. She really helped me understand assignments that were given that I didn’t know how to do or understand.” The school events she most looks forward to is Friday night football games. “Having our school get together and cheer on our team is so fun. I love all the themes the student section leaders pick out. Every student standing in the student section is screaming/cheering as loud as they can which is awesome!” Something that most people don’t know about Anna is that she loves to read. ” Morgan Matson is my current favorite author. I’ve only read one book by her which is called, Save The Date. It’s an awesome book. Another thing I absolutely love is fashion. I have a huuuuge passion for it. My favorite boutique to shop at is Apricot Lane (of course). Being able to pick random pieces of clothing and describing your personality is amazing.” Advice to incoming freshman: “Cherish every moment you have in high school. Before you know it, you’re going to be a Senior and just able to graduate college. The 4 years fly by so quickly.”
“A perfect day for me would have to consist of being on a beach somewhere warm and far far away with a very intense sun! (lol, got to get your tan on all day everyday). My boyfriend, Cadin would of course have to be there. We are inseparable. Laying on a beach not worrying able anything in the world… ahh amazing.”
Three things on her bucket list include: 1. Traveling the world with the love of her life 2. Taking a road trip to Florida with a group of girls from college. 3. Open up her own boutique
FAMILY:
- Favorite family holiday tradition: A huge family holiday tradition in my family is on Christmas Eve, we watch The Christmas Story movie on TV. By now, my dad has memorized the whole movie. We still laugh at the scene about the leg lamp and the bunny suit.
- My hero is my mother. She is so down to earth and would do anything for anyone. She always knows how to make everyone laugh with her ‘lame’ and weird jokes (sometimes) lol. She busts her booty to keep our family happy. Wouldn’t trade her for the world!
- My favorite family trip was when we went to California. We shopped at so many stores we don’t have around here, saw homes owned by famous people, and all around had a fabulous time.
- What is your favorite childhood memory? When my family and I lived in Minnesota, they had a two story Target. One Sunday afternoon, I decided I didn’t want to wear my dress anymore. So, I ripped the dress off and started running down the aisles away from my Grandma and Mom. Till this day I think it is the funniest thing ever.
- What is the best thing about your parents? They always strive to be the best parents in the world.
FOOD:
- What’s your favorite family recipe ? Hmm.. hard decision. I would have to say either my moms cookies or my grandmas apple/cherry pies. UGH. they’re both just so delicious and to die for!
- What’s the most unusual thing you’ve ever eaten? I’ve never eaten anything unusual. I am the most pickiest person you’ll ever meet.
- If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? a Steak N Shake Grilled Cheese and Fries
RANDOM:
- List something random and fun about yourself: My birthdate is January 1st, 2001. So 01/01/01. and I was also born at 10:10.
- If you could travel any where in the world where would you want to go? I have always wanted to travel to Bora Bora or Hawaii. I’ve never been to either of those places. They are both so so beautiful. I love how in Bora Bora you can stay in a tiki hut while surrounded by water. How cool! The water in both of these places are astonishing. It’s so clear.
- My favorite sport to watch is cheerleading.
My favorite sport to do is High Jump. I used to be so good at it until I found out I broke my back in 8th grade. Now, I am unable to participate in Track and Field for the high school. Which I’m a bit sad about but it’s okay.
- Who is your favorite singer and/or band or song? I love country. If you don’t, what are you even doing? You’re surely not living life. I really don’t listen to just one singer. But, my favorite song at the moment is “Let Me See Ya Girl” by Cole Swindell.
- Why did you choose Shelby Photography for your senior portraits photographer? I’ve always loved the way you photograph people for their senior pictures. You sure do have an eye for this type of stuff. I like the poses and the atmospheres you take to get amazing photos. Each and every photo is different from someone else. You never see the same photo style for anyone. I love that! You’re truly one of a kind.
