I’m so excited to introduce Amanda Tran, Class of 2021 senior from Richwoods High School!  She is FUN, sweet, kind, bubbly and a very talented dancer that can leap and jump in a way that left us in complete awe.  Crazy talented and beautiful!!  I have treasured her presence on our Shelby Senior model team!

After high school, Amanda plans on attending either U of I or Loyola to major in Business Management.  She participates in the Royalettes Dance Team, Interact Club, and Recycling Club. Outside of school, she babysits and often help her parents their nail salon, Princess nails.  Her hobbies include dancing and baking. Her favorite teacher would be Mr. Stalter, “because he is good with his students, has a good sense of humor and he’s pretty chill. My favorite class is math because it has always been my favorite and it is my best subject. My favorite school events to attend are football, basketball, or volleyball games because I get to watch and support our school while socializing with my friends.”

“I would describe my perfect ay as hanging out with friends at the pool or at the park having a picnic.”

 

 

Three things on my bucket list would be 1. Travel to every state and get a sweatshirt in each state 2. Go on a road trip with friends 3. Meet a celebrity

“My hero is my grandma because growing up she would take care of me when my parents were at work. She would babysit other kids as well and do all the housework. She also worked hard to get her citizenship.”

Food and Family:

1. Rice and Salmon is my favorite family recipe. I love the way we season the salmon
2. If I could eat only one meal for the rest of my life, it would be Chicken Alfredo
3. Going to Six Flags with my cousins, aunt, and grandma would be my favorite childhood memory
4. The best thing about my parents is that they work hard everyday to give me the best life. Throughout the years they’ve been supportive of my love for dancing. I am lucky to be loved and spoiled by them.

7. Favorite drink: Iced Caramel Macchiato from Starbucks   Favorite snack: Doritos Cool Ranch   Favorite candy: Green Apple Jolly Ranchers
8. My favorite holiday is Christmas and I love doing Secret Santas with my cousins. Every year on Thanksgiving we pick names out of a hat. Each year we dress up in a theme, like flannel or Christmas and then we do secret Santa.
9. My favorite family trip was to California because I always wanted to go to California. When we went we got to go to Disneyland and to Hollywood boulevard.

 

Random Fun Facts:

1. My favorite singer is Arianna Grande and favorite rapper is Drake
2. The most daring thing I have ever done is play hide and seek at night in an oldish hotel in Italy
3. I wanted to be a teacher when I was a little girl.
4. A moment where I was proud was when I got my first medal. It was from a dance competition and it was a Rising Star Award. It was for good showmanship where I showed good technique and personality in my dance.
5. I’m Vietnamese and bilingual and I have 14 cousins on my mom’s side of the family
6. I’m an only child and I have a dog named Wesley.
7. Why did you choose Shelby Photography? I have been following Shelby Photography on Instagram for a few years and loved all the cute themed sessions and senior pictures. I wanted something like that for my senior pictures. I like the setting and how each outfit compliments the background making the pictures even better.
