Meet Madisyn Stewart, Class of 2019 senior from Washington Community High School.

I took pictures of Madisyn when she was a little girl and I have to say that I was in complete and utter shock when she first arrived for her fashion consultation!!   Because (obviously, duh) people change appearances after 8 (+) years but my brain was expecting a shy, little girl, LOL!   Instead, Madisyn took my breath away with her stunning beauty and fun, adventurous personality.   I knew her senior session would be SO MUCH FUN and it was!

After she graduates, Madisyn plans on attending ISU and majoring in Criminal Justice.  When she was a little girl, she wanted to be a veterinarian.  In school, she is a Basketball cheerleader, and participates in Fitness Club, Pep Club, and she was a volleyball player for 3 years.  A moment she was most proud of was during her freshman year of volleyball; she was on the sophomore team and when she was a sophomore, she, she was brought up to the varsity team.!  She also loves to hang out with her friends, go shopping, swimming, and loves makeup!  This year, she is most looking forward to football games, cheer season, and the school dances.  Her favorite school event is Prom because it’s a fun night and everyone has a great time and she loves all of the dresses!   Mr. Little has been one of her favorite teachers at WCHS because he was always willing to spend extra time on lessons and really cares for his students. Advice for freshman: It’s  not as scary as you think its going to be and it goes so fast so try and enjoy it and get involved in activities that you like and don’t date a senior!!

Madisyn would describe her “perfect day” as taking the train to Chicago and walking around the city shopping and going to fun restaurants with my best friends!

Three things on her bucket list include visiting a foreign country, scuba diving, and going to Arizona and adventuring in the desert!

One of the best things about her parents would be their strong work ethic and love – “My dad is such an inspiration for all his hard work he does to run his own business and takes care of us and my mom is so supportive of me and doesn’t judge me and loves me unconditionally. I would also say that they are my hero because they are so generous and loving.  They are always there for me through the good and bad!

1. What’s the most unusual thing you’ve ever eaten? Wild turkey
2. If you could travel any where in the world where would you want to go? Turks and Caicos it just looks like a beautiful fun place!
3. Favorite holiday tradition? Christmas morning with my family , my mom makes a breakfast casserole that i love and my sister and her dog Bean are always there too. On Christmas Eve , we spend time with my grandparents at their  house we have a big dinner and open presents.
4. What’s the most daring thing you’ve ever done? Parasailing in Florida
5. My favorite family trip was to Florida because we went to Disney and Universal and it was my first time on a plane and to Florida
6. What is your favorite childhood memory?  Being able to play outside with all the neighborhood kids who have become my best friend still to this day we would spend hours playing dress up, american girl dolls and pretend school, and pageants
7. What’s your favorite family recipe?  Pizza green beans they are delicious and they are a recipe from my Great Grandma
8. Nicknames?  Madi and Stew
9. If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? Chic Fila chicken strips with chic fila sauce
10. Something random? I was a competitive gymnast when i was little and I’m obsessed with my dog Jerzi , I had to wait till i was 12 to get her!
11. Why did you choose Shelby Photography for your senior portraits?  I have loved all the senior pics i have seen of other girls… the locations, the style and the quality!
