Meet the sweet (and very sassy) Class of 2018 senior, Lauren Stoecker, from Washington Community High School. I love her freckles.. each and everyone of them and I want her to teach me how to do my own makeup (and hair) because they are ALWAYS “picture perfect!” Most of all, I love her fun personality. She is shy at first, but once you get to know her, she has the greatest personality that one can NOT GET ENOUGH OF, at least I can’t… I love her to death!! #truth
Lauren is graduating at midterm and plans on attending Oehrleins to follow her passion of doing hair and makeup! She wanted to be a nurse when she was a little girl. If she won the lottery, she admits, she would to go to Ulta and buy a bunch of makeup!
In school, she participates in Colorguard and loves Art too. One of her proudest moments was winning most improved during her freshman year of Colorguard.
She would describe her perfect day as hanging out with friends, going swimming all day and then having a bonfire at night. I asked her what was the most daring thing she has ever done and her answer made me chuckle, “I’m a whimp and I don’t really do daring things” Advice to incoming freshman: Always bring headphones. And don’t be afraid to make some friends
Biggest pet peeves: When people pronounce Illinois with the “s” at the end. Chewing with your mouth open. And also when things aren’t neat and clean
“One thing on my bucket list would have to be going to Paris to see the Eiffel Tower at night”
The best thing about her parents: “How much they support me in the things I do and how they help me out through talking during the hard times. The most influential person in my life is my mom because she pushes me to do my best. My hero is my grandma because she always supported me and tried to hard to always be there for me in my life. She was always dedicated to her family and she was amazing. One of my most treasured possessions is a bear that my great grandma gave me. It was the last thing she gave me before she passed away.”
Here are some of Lauren’s favorites:
Ten years from now, “I see myself bing a professional makeup artist in LA”
