Ainsly | Metamora Township High School Class of 2020

November 12, 2019

Meet the beautiful and bubbly, Class of 2020 senior from Metamora Township High School, Ainsly Garren!  I am officially obsessed with her hair and those eyes, swoon!

After high school, Ainsly plans on attending college to pursue a career in nursing! When she was a little girl, she wanted to be a doctor. She has always loved the medical field and knew she would do something in this field.  Her favorite classes are anything science related (except for physics) and her favorite teacher is Tabitha Cooper who is “absolutely amazing. She is a teacher and a friend. Her classroom never has a dull moment with her sense of humor.”   Ainsly’s favorite school event to attend is “the football games because the student section is amazing and the overall vibe of the games is what I love most!”   Her hobbies include painting and making jewelry.

“My perfect day would be going out to the lake to jet ski and boat all day with my family and friends”

  1. What’s the most daring thing you’ve ever done? The most daring thing I have ever done is probably ziplining. I need to be more daring in my life.
  2. If you could travel any where in the world where would you want to go? I would travel to Japan because it would take me way out of my comfort zone. I think exploring new cultures is cool and that would be a fun way to do it.
  3. What are your favorite sports? I love watching baseball. I used to play volleyball for school, and I really enjoyed that.
  4. Who are your favorite music artists? I love Lil Peep, Billie Eilish, Eminem, 6ix9ine, Tyler the Creator, Kane Brown and Luke Bryan.
  5. I love cats!
  6. What’s your usual school style? Comfy and casual. I wear ripped jeans or leggings with a cute shirt.
  7. Favorite clothing stores: I love Pacsun, American Eagle, Urban Outfitters, Forever 21 and Zumiez
  8. Why did you choose Shelby Photography for your senior portraits photographer? I want to show myself and others that no matter what size you are, be it a size 2, 9, or 20, you are beautiful.  In your photos, literally every person looks so confident in themselves, and I love that!

Three things on my bucket list include 1. Owning my own jet ski 2. Travel outside of the United States 3. Be comfortable in my own skin

  1. What’s the most unusual thing you’ve ever eaten? Cottage cheese with crushed up potato chips is amazing
  2. What’s your favorite holiday and family holiday tradition? My favorite holiday is Christmas and every Christmas we make vanilla graham cracker pie.
  3. My favorite family trip was to Kalahari because my dad would always take me and my brother for his annual work trip. We would get to bring a friend every time. After my dad passed away, my mom started to take us as a tradition my dad started.
  4. My favorite childhood memory is going to daycare and going on the Tumblebus and Boogiebus. You basically did gymnastics on a bus, and it was super fun.
  5. If you could eat only one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?  Tortellini
  6. Nickname?  My dad would always call me sissy

“My hero is my dad because he never gave up. He was in and out of the hospital for 5 years and I never heard him complain. He took what he was given and made the most out of it.  He didn’t take anything for granted and always appreciated what he had and rarely ever wanted more.  The best thing about my mom is her selflessness. She does so much for my brother and I.  She always does so much more than what I could ever need.”

What are you most proud of? “I am most proud of graduating early. Even though I have not done it yet, I know I am going to be so proud of myself.”

And a few from our Shelby Senior Destination Experience in Clearwater Florida this summer!  Take me back to summertime!!
