I feel truly blessed to be able to follow my dream of being a photographer. I absolutely LOVE what I do! From the time I picked up a camera, I was obsessed with taking pretty pictures. After 12 years, my focus has shifted… I have come to realize that one of the most important parts of my job is telling your story through my lens. If I’m photographing your wedding day, I focus on authentic, natural and real moments. If I’m photographing your senior pictures, your personality and inner beauty will shine through! These are the moments that you will forever cherish and remember. Welcome to the blog. I can’t wait for the opportunity to capture YOU and tell your story!
Winter time always stirs my creative soul and allows a little extra time for personal projects when I get to shoot just for me. If you follow my work, you might know that I love historical homes and truly enjoy their unique architecture but also the stories they tell. The Pettingill-Morron House provided a beautiful backdrop for a romantic, vintage creative shoot last week and I’m excited to share the photographs!
The Pettingill-Morron House on Moss Avenue in Peoria, IL has always been one of my favorite wedding venue for smaller, intimate weddings. It was built in 1868 by Moses Pettengill at the cost of $12,000. and features 11 room as well as a full basement and attic. The home was completely renovated in the 1940’s withe the addition of a modern kitchen and bathrooms. Each room contains a unique collection of antiques from several Peoria families. It has been the home to six owners and was rented for a period of five years in the early 1940’s.
Special thanks to the lovely volunteers from the Peoria Historical Society who made us feel so welcome! As well as the talented wedding vendors below that I am blessed to work with throughout the year.
