IL High School Senior Pictures

Hello beautiful!!

Meet MaKenna Ott, Class of 2018 senior from Eureka High School!  I think I gasped silently when I first met her.. she was breathtakingly beautiful…. and then,  I was able to get to know her. Over the past few months, I have realized how incredibly beautiful her heart is!  She TRULY has a heart of gold.  For example, I have photographed her four times and after EVERY session, she goes out of her way to personally write me a note about how grateful she is, how much she loves her pictures and always thanks me.  Every time I get her little notes,  my spirits are lifted, I smile, and my day is completely made!   If  you don’t already know it MaKenna,  you are an extra special blessing to me!  You have no idea how much those notes mean to me, so thank you!

She would describe her personality as shy at first but once you get to know her, she really opens up and she can be crazy at times! She is outgoing and loves to be active. “I try to put others first and strive to be a better person and example to others”

Fun Fact – MaKenna is an expert wakeboarder!  She would describe her “perfect day” as going out onto the water with friends and family. Getting a full day of sunshine and a good chunk of waterboarding in also.  The crew would eat lunch out on the water and after the boat trip, go out to eat with the entire boating squad!  Besides boating and wakeboarding, she  participates in volleyball and track. After high school, she plans on attending college in Florida and want to be a nurse.  Best advice to incoming freshman – “Study hard and manage your time!” A moment she is most proud of is winning state in volleyball.

Just another peak into her heart – I asked her if she could have just one wish, what would it be and she said she wishes her family and loved ones a full, happy life! Love this girl!!  One of her most treasured possessions is a picture of herself with her grandmother when they were both the same age. They looked exactly alike and she was named after her grandmother. In 2010, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer but today she has been treated and she’s living life to the fullest. “She is my inspiration and she’s always smiling and has the biggest heart!”

If money were no object, she would love to travel to Bora Bora because it’s beautiful, an amazing island that she could walk the rainforest and paddleboard in the clear water.

MaKenna’s favorite holiday is Christmas and her favorite tradition is the white elephant gift exchange.  One of her favorite childhood memories involves a time with her cousin when they were getting babysat. They went into the bathroom and poured lotion everywhere!! 🙂 Favorite family recipe: Upside down pizza, yum! If she could eat only one meal for the rest of her life, she would eat tacos!   Three things on her bucket list include: Travel the world, skydive, and sail and sailboat.

Ten years from now, she envisions herself working in a big hospital, having her own family who loves to travel and living in a nice house!

MaKenna – I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED taking your senior pictures!  You are a beautiful soul and I am so excited to watch you start your journey into your senior year at Eureka High School.  Have a GREAT time!  XO – Cindy
